Our own KPC Vision Group has been formed, made up of Brenda Fraser, Alice Getley, Alan McGhie, Stuart Neave, Rev Alan Reid, Jaffrey Weir.
It meets monthly, along with representatives from Cleish, Fossoway and Orwell & Portmoak, as together we seek a pathway to unite, looking to 1 January 2025.
2024 Meeting Dates: 17 January, 14 February, 13 March, 17 April, 15 May, 19 June, 17 July, 14 August, 18 September, 16 October, 13 November.
The Ministers and Session Clerks of the four congregations (Cleish, Fossoway, Kinross, Orwell & Portmoak) are meeting regularly as the Steering Group to facilitate networking and planning across the congregations.
As we move forward, congregations would only do separately what could not be done together. In particular there shall be shared working in areas such as administration, publicity, online presence, training, special interest groups, outreach (including Messy Church), community engagement, pioneering and the planting of fresh expressions of church. Invitations shall be given to representatives of other local churches, Kythe and Kinross Centre etc to participate in Kirk Session conferences in the development of areas of shared mission.
What would you like to see in the new union? What are your concerns?
If you have questions, comments or suggestions, please speak with the Minister or Session Clerk or send an email as we welcome everyone’s input.
