Minister’s Message for Sunday 17 November 2024
Dear Friends,
As ever, I encourage you to take note of all that is in this email, including the intimations sheet which you can view by clicking the link further down. In particular, please note the arrangements for the Safari Afternoon Tea on Sunday afternoon which we hope many will take part in (even if you can't do the whole walk). Although this is a free event I do hope you will consider making a donation towards the work of MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship).
The other thing I need to do this week is to reiterate what I wrote last week about arrangements for the formal meeting of the congregation which will be held towards the start of this Sunday's morning service to vote on the proposals for the restructuring of the church across Kinross-shire. These proposals are contained in the Bases of Readjustment, copies of which are available in the church. The meeting will take place during the course of worship but will be conducted by two members of the Presbytery of Perth. There will be the opportunity for questions and discussion before the votes are taken. Recent changes to Church Law allow for those who are registered as adherents of the congregation as well as members to vote in readjustment matters. Voting papers will be issued as you arrive at the church and your name checked off on the voting register. Regretfully we do not have the technical capability to allow those joining the meeting online to be able to vote. I do hope that there will be a good attendance so that the result of the vote is representative of the view of the congregation as a body.
With all prayerful good wishes,
Alan
Rev. A.D. Reid
