Prayer Points for Week Commencing 10 November 2024
We believe in a God that hears and answers prayer. Why not print this page and use it this week?
Remembrance Sunday, 10th November: As we pause in company with people across the United Kingdom and across the Commonwealth today may our remembrance and our gratitude be focused on seeking peace in our community and in the wider world in our time.
Monday, 11th: Take time to be still at some point this Armistice Day, perhaps at 11am if you are able, to seek the peace of the Prince of Peace in your own heart and in your relationships with others.
Tuesday, 12th: In praying for the peace of Jerusalem today, remember all the peoples of Israel and Palestine and Lebanon and the wider Middle East, and ask God to work in the hearts of their leaders to find a better way than violence.
Wednesday, 13th: The Russo-Ukrainian War began ten years ago and escalated over two and a half years ago. Pray for those who have been living with such conflict for so long and ask God to intervene to bring a just and transforming peace.
Thursday, 14th: As we rest as Christians in the peace of God in Christ which passes all understanding, pray for our brothers and sisters who are suffering persecution for the sake of the Gospel and ask that their witness to their persecutors may lead to their coming to know Jesus for themselves.
Friday, 15th: Remember those in our own community who have no peace because of such things as domestic violence, poverty, poor mental health or anxiety and pray that they may know the love of God and the practical support of God's people.
Saturday, 16th: Pray that tomorrow's congregational meetings in Cleish, Fossoway, Kinross and Orwell & Portmoak will give a clear signal in regard to the proposals for a re-organisation of the structures of the church in Kinross-shire and a fresh impetus to the work of the Gospel here.
Amen
